MEDICAL TRAINING & LICENSURE

As a Medical Order, SMOCH [Pronunciation] offers our Doctors, Nurses, Clergy, and Humanitarian Aid Workers a complete rural laboratory, vital signs training, and doctor preparedness seminary as part of induction into Knight membersihp, providing the participant with all the high tech, low cost tools for effective rural missions and disaster relief. This 5 day training is available as part of Knighthood. Upon successful completion of the seminary, the member is provided a Medical License.

SMOKH's International [Ecclesiastical] Medical License is based on Geneva Treaty Accords. This Sacred Medical Order asserts that a general right to humanitarian assistance has existed since our Lord Jesus Christ described the telling parable in response to a question regarding that a "neighbour" (Leviticus 19:18) in dire medical need should be loved and cared for. Humanitarian acts are positive in international law. Such a general right can be invoked in all circumstances: in peacetime (either in the face of endemic problems of famine, malnutrition, and disease, or natural disasters) as well as in the course of armed conflicts (either international or internal). The right to humanitarian assistance is vouchsafed by binding norms of international law (customary and/or conventional/secular).

Good Samaritan laws are laws or acts protecting those who choose to serve and tend to others who are injured, ill, in peril, or otherwise incapacitated. They are intended to reduce bystanders' hesitation to assist, for fear of being sued or prosecuted for unintentional injury or wrongful death. A Good Samaritan doctrine is a legal principle that prevents a rescuer or missionary who has voluntarily helped a victim in distress from being held for 'wrongdoing'. Its purpose is to keep people from being reluctant to help a stranger in need for fear of legal repercussions should they make some mistake or oversight in treatment.

Good Samaritan laws take their name from a parable told by Jesus commonly referred to as the Parable of the Good Samaritan which is contained in Luke 10:25-37. It recounts the aid given by one traveler (from the area known as Samaria) to another traveler of a different religious and ethnic background who had been beaten and robbed by bandits.

We recognize the details of Good Samaritan laws/acts in various jurisdictions vary, including who is protected from liability and in general circumstances. We assert under international law all jurisdictions provide protection to our trained personnel as part of, but not limited to, Geneva Conventions of humanitarian aid personnel. We consider our intentions and efforts as religious, humanitarian, and medical acts of our instructions from our Lord Jesus Christ † for peaceful and Christian purposes.

INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS PERMIT

An International Driving Permit (IDP) allows an individual to drive a private motor vehicle in another nation when accompanied by a valid license from their home country. The Vienna Convention on Road Traffic was ratified by its signatory parties.

DIPLOMATIC PASSPORT

Issued to our medical diplomats for work-related travel, and to accompanying dependents for purposes of missionary works.

These International Licenses along with our Diplomatic Passport should give all our members wishing to render humanitarian aid, all the documents necessary across borders.
